The past year has been revolutionary for not only the technology world but also the global community in general due to the passing of computer genius Steve Jobs. We have discussed his contribuions briefly in this class before but due to this event we will take a look deeper into the impact he made on our society. He was an intricate man whose innovations in computers and technology in general may never be matched. Read the following few articles then briefly summarize what you think of him and his contributions to society.
I think the life of Steve Jobs truly shows that we are all human. We all make mistakes and we learn from them. He had some rough times in his life and it seems like he was not very fair all of the time. Nonetheless, he was a very intelligent man who wanted to be successful and wanted to create things that the world has never seen. I am happy that he did keep his life secret because I am a true believer in seperation from work and family life. He seems to be a guy who was able to balance it all and to experience new things in his life. He was a person, and I think that is something we should all remember.
ReplyDeleteThe life of Steve Jobs was a life that greatly benefited everyone. He introduced things to society that were new and interesting. Even though he went through some rough times he still managed to invent new products. His invetions are known worldwide therefore making him a success.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs revolutionized so many things in his life time, it is just crazy! I have an iPhone and I just love it. And to imagine that he designed this product, from the ground up, is just ridiculous. I have taken apart a couple of iPhones to try and swith out a broken screen for a new one and it is crazy how small everything is. The screws that hold everything together are so small! One thing I didn't know, and liked to hear, was that he only made a dollar a year while working for Apple. That just made me smile a little bit.
ReplyDeleteSteve Jobs is one man who has had a great influence on the world from his contributions from not only Apple, but other various companies as well. He had many ideas and products that were revolutionary and changed how society interacts with technology. Of course he had a few rough patches, but he always found a way out and always brought something new to the table. He created so many different products that changed the course of history. While some of his products were not entirely new concepts, he was always there to take advantage of the new technology. He is a truly innovative person and his legacy will continue to go on.
ReplyDeleteI don't think his innovations were as great as people herald them to be after his death. I do think I-pods are handy but they are nowhere near as revolutionary as people make them out to be. From a buisness perspective I can respect him considering his revenue last year was greater than about every other business and organization
