  1. I would probably have to say the Wright brothers first plane, because people fly all time now and the flight industry has become huge.

The advancement I found that was interesting was when trains switched from steam engines to diesel or electric. Electric ones are cheaper to run but they are more expensive to build then diesel trains.

  2. I like the flying device that was created by Leonardo da Vinci. For someone from that time period to create a device like that is amazing to me.

GPS for farmers is really only a couple years old and improves every year. My dad just purchased one this year to help with setting up fields for planting. GPS is a huge advancement for farming because it will help with efficiency of planting and preparing a field for the growing season. The GPS system allows farmers to map a field to help keep straight lines and less overlap in planting. It can also be used to help farms apply herbicides and pesticides more accurately.

  3. The invention that I think was the best, for its time, from the quiz is the first motorcycle. The reason that I think this is because this invention led into something greater in the future.

The new technology that I found was the rear back up camera that Ford has put into most of its new vehiclee. This camera has a large screen so that the driver can see almost everything that is behind them when they are in reverse.

  4. computers and cell phones are all run on silicon technology. Some companys are looking to change that. They want in the near future for all of your cell phones and computers to be nanotechnology which is smaller faster cheaper to produce and better quality so look forward in the next few years for some big changes,,,

  5. I think the most worthwhile invention was the invention of the telephone. This revolutionized how people communicated between each other. Just think about where everyone would be with out the technology of the telephone. I don't think all heck would break loose but businesses and so forth would really take a hit.

My website presents a electric three wheeled vehicle. It is very small and with a four to six hour charge it can travel 150 kilometers.

  6. I think the automobile or the airplane are the most worthwhile transportation inventions in recent time.

Self parking vehicles aren't completely automatic. The driver controls the speed of the car. There are sensors all around the perimeter of car that send messages to the driver when to brake or speed up.

  8. I think the invention that was the most worthwhile was the steam railway locomotive as it was the first steam engine to be used as a mode of transportation and opened up doors for other engines to follow.

This is a "vehicle" that can either be powered by the rider by pedaling like a bike or it can use electric power generated from solar panels on the roof that is stored in batteries. It is a totally clean form of energy. I think it is a pretty cool concept.

  9. The coolest invention in my opinion was the first submarine that Cornelis Drebbel designed.

I think the segway is awesome. It doesn't run on gasoline or anything it's completely green energy. It looks really cool too.

  10. There are alot of amazing inventions, but i think it all builds off each other. I think the wheel is the best invention because without that nothing could really be made after. The car, train, airplane all use wheels.

This is a t-rex it doesn't seem very practical, but more of something that is used for fun. It has three wheels and is considered a motorcycle.

  12. I think the most worthwhile invention had to be the aircraft the brothers built, because I know it had to take a lot of time to try to invent something that advance. Plus everyone wants to fly now a days so that was really was a good invention.

I thought this was pretty cool I can myself riding one.

  13. I would say that the most worthwhile invention would be the gasoline powered engine because that is how most vehicles are used today. It really helped the technology of automobiles advance.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-speed_rail_in_the_United_States

I believe that High speed railways are starting to be very useful. We do not see them around here, but in other parts of the state, they have trains that go up to 150 miles an hour and that will allow us to get to from one big city to the next.
