What do you think about these advances? Do you enjoy the things they add to the experience? What is your favorite technology related aspect of the Super Bowl and why?
First of all the game messed my whole day up because ima pats fan and we lost, didnt really watch the game cause i passed out at about halftime. The technology is always amazing at the super bowl, its the biggest stage in the world and thats why it cost 3.5 million a ad commercial during the game because everybody is always tuned in to the exitement. It was a great game though
ReplyDeleteI was fortunate enough to watch the Super Bowl yesterday among friends and did not utilize any technology noted in this article aside from a huge TV. I think that being on Twitter or Google while watching the game is pointless. The Superbowl this year wasn't that great for commercials, but the one I enjoyed the most was the Clint Eastwood ad.
ReplyDeleteYes I did watch the Super Bowl yesterday. During the game I noticed all the different angles of the plays that were shown by the many cameras. My favorite ads were the Chevy and M&M commerical and also the Volks Wagon commerical with the dog in it. I think that these advances in technology are a good thing and I did enjoy them. My favorite would have to be the TV to watch the game on because I am always the one who some how ends up sitting farthest away from the TV and it can be hard to see sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a big sports fan myself but quite the tech nerd and have been quite interested in all the technology behind making watching the game as immersive as it is. Gotta throw out the love for the dogs barking The Imperial March on the Volkswagon commercial.
ReplyDeletei didn't really get to watch it because i was doing homework but the plays were awesome and exciting. i wasn't paying attention to the ads im sure i can look on youtube and check them out.
ReplyDeleteYes I watched the Super Bowl. Yes I noticed all the technology. The thing that has really stood out to me that has changed the last couple of years is all of the different camera angles they have. This can be useful for the officials during instant replays. My favorite ad was the Clint Eastwood and Detroit one. I think that these advances help give fans the ultimate experience. My favorite aspect is the giant TVs.
ReplyDeleteI did not watch the Super Bowl yesterday so I did not notice all the technology used. I guess all the advances they have made would be good for the football lover who attends the events and takes a Sunday to have a party for one game. I do not have a favorite technology because I don't enjoy watching football. I have to say my favorite commercial though is the VW/dog commercial.
ReplyDeleteYesterdays Super Bowl was a good one to watch. Two awesome quarterbacks that went back and forth. Everything that has been done to make the person sitting at home feel like they are right there in the action has been awesome. After watching some of the flashbacks from previous Super Bowls it is obvious to see how far technology has come. Some of the ads were really good. I thought the Doritos ads were pretty funny and some of my favorite. I also caught a kick out of the dog that was fat and started working out.
ReplyDeleteI didn't catch the Superbowl but I'm sure i will catch a few of the ads on you tube if they were really that great. We have become entirely dependent on technology. These days more people have smartphones than years before, and the internet is basically in our hands 24/7 I love the twitter portion of technology used, basically you get a play by play of what is going plus all of the witty commentary that goes along with it.
ReplyDeleteI watched most of the superbowl yesterday. It was a really fun experience because I got to watch it with my family and they made meatballs and all sorts of good food. I am one of those people who really watch the superbowl for the commericals. The commercial on the italian car was my favorite. It was so hilarious. Or the one with the dog who would go and grab a beer every time he heard his name. My parents have a big screen tv, so it is nice to watch the show with out having anyone in the way. The half time show was incredible! I think they layed down a green screen for Madonna's show and it was just fun to watch. She had a lot of musical guests join her and it was just fun to watch all the screen changes and the lights. It would have been awesome to actually be there.
ReplyDeleteI watched the big game with my friends yesterday. The amount of cameras they have is ridiculous. I can't imagine how expensive a camera like that must run. The commercials this year sucked. There were more local commercials than big name ones. I enjoyed the Clint Eastwood one the most. It was like a pep talk to America.
ReplyDeleteI watched two minutes of the super bowl and it was fantastic. If the superbowl didn't have any ads then I wouldn't care eitherway because I'm still probably not going to watch it.
ReplyDeleteWow Hemingway how long did it take you to draft up this great sentence.
DeleteThis is the most amazing sentence i've seen yet.
DeleteYes, I did watch the Super Bowl. Surprisingly I didn't check my phone after every play to see what other people said about it. Especially when I really truly didn't care who won. So I didn't utilize all this "great" technology, I just enjoyed the game with a few friends. On a new note, most of the commercials were sub-par at best. There were a few sprinkled in that were decent, but most were below average. All in all, best part of the Super Bowl was being with friends.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really notice much of the new technology. I would rather watch the game than use an app on my phone. Most of the technological changes I've noticed over the last few years would be the cameras and some of the game time software the announcers can use, especially when it comes down to a close play or a challenge. The ads were not too special this year, but I did enjoy the Clint Eastwood ad. I think the technological advances to enhance the gameday experince. Big TV's are also nice.
ReplyDeleteI watched the Super Bowl with some friends and I was less then impressed with the ads this year. There was some that were awesome, but not as many as I expected. I'm not saying the ads are the only thing that is good about the Super Bowl, but it for sure makes it alot better. As far as technology i didn't notice a whole lot, the camera angles and stage at halftime are always awesome though.
ReplyDeleteGreat news Mike, I've copied your work and sent it to the New York Times, hopefully your work will finally be recognized for the genius that it is.
DeleteI didn't watch the football game really I just hung out with some friends and did homework. However I seen a little of the half0time show I thought it was pretty cool how they used like a projector or something for the ground. I didn't have a favorite add but I like how they made the field look like it got sucked in a black hole. I like the parts that I did get to watch, they where pretty hi-tech.
